Our Approach

The Silhouette

The Mickey Mouse silhouette is already recognized worldwide and is synonymous with The Walt Disney Company, more commonly known as simply Disney. We think the icon speaks for itself—no additional wordmark or graphic is needed to say "Disney."

Secondary Marks

We revised the classic Walt Disney wordmark as a secondary logo. This refined version is more closely matched to Walt Disney's actual signature, which evolved over his lifetime, and is more clearly derived from actual handwritten strokes. The 'D' is no longer likely to be confused with a (backwards) 'G', which is common for small children.

Disney+, Disney's subscription video streaming service, gets a simplified logo as well: pairing the Mickey icon with a plus symbol.

The Mickey icon and Walt Disney wordmark can also be combined with alternate coloring (shown last).

Colors

Disney creates magical content, experiences, and memories for children and adults alike and has made famous the Magic Kingdom theme park. We chose a deep royal purple to represent this theme of magic and wonder and highlighted it with a bright blue hue.
